Checklists & Safety Forms
How they work
Checklists and Safety Forms are each managed as a template library (under Checklists and Safety Forms in the main navigation), independent from any specific job. From a job page, you attach a template — this creates a job-specific copy of it, so editing the original template later doesn't change instances already attached to existing jobs. You can also create a one-off checklist or safety form directly on a job without saving it as a reusable template.
Checklists
A checklist is an ordered list of items, each either a plain checkbox or a checkbox paired with a free-text field (useful for things like "Meter reading: ____"). The job page shows a completion count (e.g. "3/5"), and items are checked off or filled in inline. A checklist can be detached from a job with confirmation.
Safety forms
Safety forms support richer field types — checkbox, yes/no, single-select (with defined options), short text, and long text. Once a safety form is filled in, you can generate a PDF from it, stored for later download; if you make changes, you can regenerate the PDF. This is currently the one place in the app where a genuine PDF file is generated and stored — most other "PDF" needs elsewhere in the app rely on your browser's print-to-PDF instead.
