Delete your account

From the web app

1. Sign in and go to Settings.
2. Choose Delete account.
3. Follow the steps there.

From the Android app

Open More → Settings, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete my account. Nothing needs to be done on a computer.

What is deleted

If you delete your own account: your login, your name, your email and phone number, your profile picture, your location history, and any devices registered for notifications. You will not be able to sign in again, and we cannot restore it.

If you own a business and delete the whole business: everything above, plus every customer, job, estimate, invoice, payment record, timesheet, photo and document belonging to it, and the accounts of everyone on the team.

What is kept, and why

When an individual leaves a business that carries on, the work they recorded stays with that business — the jobs they completed, the hours they logged, the invoices they raised — but their name is removed from it. This is not us keeping your data: those records belong to the business as its accounting and employment records, and a timesheet that vanished would be somebody's unpaid wage. Nothing that identifies you remains attached to them.

We may also keep the minimum required for legal and accounting obligations — for example, a record of payments taken — for as long as the law requires.

How long it takes

Deleting your own account happens immediately.

Deleting a whole business is scheduled for 30 days' time, so that a mistake or an account somebody else got into can be undone. Everything carries on working during those 30 days, everyone in the business sees a notice, and the owner can stop it at any point. After that it is permanent.

If you cannot sign in

Email us from the address on the account and we will handle it. We will ask you to confirm a couple of details first — otherwise anybody who knew your email address could delete your business.
